Tips For Chosing The Perfect Celebrity Wedding Dress

Every year some Hollywood star or starlet decides to tie the knot. There’s usually a great deal of secrecy surrounding every detail of the wedding. The fans wait anxiously to catch a glimpse of any small clue as to the tone or look of the special event. One thing in particular has many women waiting with baited breath and that’s the wedding gown. A celebrity wedding dress is usually something of a dream and it’s really one of the most magical parts of celebrity weddings.

If a wedding is going to draw any level of media attention it’s expected that the bride will have her gown custom made by a designer. This was the case with many of the recent celebrity weddings including Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman. A celebrity wedding dress is always one-of-a-kind and the bride normally ends up looking like a princess. Although most women dream of wearing a celebrity wedding dress, their wedding budget wouldn’t be enough to cover the cost of such an expensive gown.

There is another route that every up and coming bride can take to incorporate some of that Hollywood magic into their day. Having a dress designed for you by a seamstress may not be exactly like having a world famous designer working on it, but it does have its advantages. One is that you can bring in a photo of a celebrity wedding dress that you absolutely love and the seamstress can work her tailoring magic to create something very similar.

You really can’t forget that most female celebrities don’t have the same body shape as a regular woman does. Unless you are a size zero or two, the celebrity wedding dress you have your heart set on may not be as flattering on your figure type as it is on a starlet. This shouldn’t discourage you though as a skilled seamstress can take some of the facets of the dress and include them in a style that is more appropriate for your own frame.

Keeping in mind that your wedding day is meant to be special for you and your groom is really important. Although you may want to have a celebrity wedding dress, remember that this is a day that will stay with you for the rest of your life. If the dress doesn’t exactly match who you are or your unique personality you may end up regretting it when you look back on your wedding photos. The best advice is to go to a bridal store and try on a selection of different gowns. If you leave there feeling that you still want a look-a-like celebrity wedding dress designed for you, go for it! Then get ready to walk down the aisle being a princess for a day just like your favorite actress.
