Finding mother of the bride outfits is something that almost no one – at least no one in their right mind – looks forward to. Nonetheless, if you are a mother of the bride plus size, it is even worse. Now I am no fatty. In my day, I was even called voluptuous. Sure my body is not stick thin like the tabloids seem to like women, but I have always thought that curves look nice on a lady. Nonetheless, buying mother of the bride dresses has been a humiliating experience for me.

It is as if the designers do not understand that as women grow, their bodies change. There are plenty of young and skinny people, but most of us put on a few pounds as we grow older. I shouldn't have to look for a plus sized mother of the bride outfit at my girth, and if I do have to look for plus sizes, they should at least be flattering. You would think that the fashion industry was just created yesterday!
